We are a financially sound insurance company backed by Grinnell Mutual Reinsurance Company. We are located in Onarga, Illinois and are represented by our independent agents. We offer property insurance to farmers and homeowners. We serve a large area in Central Illinois. (See Above) Our History: Farmers Pioneer Mutual Insurance Company was formed in 1874. The first office was located in Buckley, Illinois and later we moved to Onarga, Illinois. Our current building, located at 124 West Seminary, was built in 1963. Our company has been financially strong throughout the years, and has continued to grow. The company turned 130 years old in 2004.
